This one became a bear. It started out a simple sketch that I thought I'd add some color too but I just kept adding and adding until a month and more later I ended up with this. The biblical text said david had a staff but he musta dropped it just before he let fly his stone and it also says Goliath's shield bearer went before him..umm..maybe he went to go get david's staff?..anyway..for now this is my definitive take on david and goliath and I'll be retiring my other versions to scraps.
Also, despite the verse I chose, this painting is in no way a political statement about the the current goings on with Israel. Although you can take it as such if you want.
