" Now Mount Sinai was all in smoke because the LORD descended upon it in fire; and its smoke ascended like the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mountain quaked violently.
When the sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder, Moses spoke and God answered him with thunder. The LORD came down on Mount Sinai, to the top of the mountain; and the LORD called Moses to the top of the mountain, and Moses went up." Exodus 19:18-20 So this is one of those paintings that starts as a whim and then just gets out of control until you beat it into submission in a bloody bare-chested street brawl. UPDATE: I decided this painting still needed a bit more pummeling. So I took it out back and treated it like it was a dumb bar thug and I was Patrick Swayze in Roadhouse. It done learn it's lesson now... I lightened up Moses a tad and moved the mountains around a bit. What, with leading a bunch of cry babies through the wilderness, Moses could use some lightening up..I would think. Anyway, this painting has 2 parents. Mount Doom from the LOTR movies and good ole fashioned day-dreaming..uh..while in church..um..during the sermon. Oh..like you don't do it?..whatever.. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
